Bart Soeters: Bass Sounds

Bart Soeters made this video to showcase the diverse sounds of the bass. Accompanied by Joris Holtackers on drums and keys, Soeters uses 19 (!) basses throughout the jam to show the wide variety of tones and feels that each bass achieves. If you add the “Coda” video in, the bass count goes up to 22. The result is not only a tasty jam, but a lesson in how different basses sound. Here are the basses used in the video: •Fender Precision (1966) •Hofner Deluxe Violin Bass •Gibson SG Bass •Toby Chennell Arco Acoustic Bassguitar •Rob Allen Deep 5 •Fender Jazz Bass (1971) •Musicman Stingray •F-Bass BN-5 •Fodera Emperor II •Adamovic FBC Bart Soeters signature •Rickenbacker 4003 •Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe •NS Design Basscello •Rick Turner Renaissance Bass •Gretsch G5123B Electromatic •Stoll Acoustic Bass •Esteve PS-CB Contrabajo •Yamaha BB300 / Ellio Martina Bassmute •Ibanez BTB 705 OL As if that wasn’t enough, Soeters made a “Coda” video using the Bass Collection SCG Nanyo, the Takamine B-10, and a Rivertone Violin Bass.
