Amy Winehouse sings "Valerie," acoustic. AOL Studios, January 2007 I am uploading this because I filmed it as part of my job at AOL. I didn't know who she was, and had never used that camera before. My team was like "We're focusing on the audio, but why not get some video too?" I was warned "She can be a handful" but she was very nice and easy-going. She seemed a bit nervous even as she had a slight stammer when she spoke. But then she plopped down in a chair in our audio engineer's office, sang this song and everyone's jaw dropped. Pretty cool. Then a month later she was, like, hugely famous. I heard her in every Starbucks and every time I was put on hold for the next year. Will Hines
